The goal when deciding to open Spoken Cycles was to create a 10/10 experience for all ages and all bike genres. Whether you're wanting to buy your toddlers first bike, commuter bike, mountain bike, a road racing machine or track bike, either Blair or any of one of his team have the knowledge to make sure you're happy.

We're locals and want to provide you with the knowledge on the area and tell you all about the great things Cambridge has to offer for bike riders young and old.

With full workshop facilities we're committed to offering the highest quality of service to our customers with fully certified Shimano mechanics.

Alex Heaney | Owner/Mechanic

Alex has been with Spoken since 2015, and has become an integral part of the business. Well recognised by his famous ginger beard, you’ll likely spot him grinding a massive gear in an A grade club race, probably on the attack, or riding home after a 5am training ride with the lads. Although a full time mechanic/business owner/Salesman/husband, ‘Boheaney’, holds his own on the road against full time cyclists, with one of his proudest results being a 2nd on GC at the Tour of Southland 2019. “ It was a pretty cool feeling to be a contender in NZ’s hardest tour with guys that are just getting up when I’m already at work having done my training haha “. Alex’s bucket list includes riding some of the iconic European climbs like Alp d’Huez, Stelvio and the notorious Mt Ventoux.

Favourite ride:

“Saturday morning bunchies, where there can be a mix of World Champs, Olympic medalists and your everyday weekend warrior”.
