Born and bred for competition! The Peak SL contains pureblood DNA from the Peak, mated with the latest in research and development from within the Goodyear Bike factory to produce our lightest, fastest rolling, and focused MTB XC race tire yet. It debuts a tread pattern designed to tame the challenging conditions found on modern World Cup level XC courses.
TUBELESS COMPLETE
This Goodyear Bicycle Tires proprietary design features all the benefits of a Tubeless Ready (TLR) tire with additional air retention properties.
A multi-compound material layer is added to our tire casings allowing for improved air retention while providing additional puncture and cut protection with minimal weight increase. Our unique design means more sealant remains after installation, ready for the moment you need it.
DYNAMIC COMPOUNDING
Dynamic: A/T – All-Terrain compound providing excellent rolling efficiency while maintaining a high-level grip to minimize power transfer loss.
SUPER LIGHT
The Goodyear Peak SL tire is lightweight, weighing only 710g for a 29X2.4 tire, making it one of the lightest tires in its class. Riders can achieve faster acceleration and experience better handling which is enhanced by the additional support and protection from its M:Wall sidewall protection layer, making it ideal for cross-country racing.
Optimized for XC competition.
PROTECTION
Utilizing a finer thread fabric, our 120 tpi casing uses less rubber – making the tire more supple and faster rolling, with improved traction.
M:Wall is a Durable Mono fabric found in the sidewall of the tire and used where cut and abrasion resistance are paramount.

The Story
The Goodyear name first appeared on a tyre — a bicycle tyre, to be precise — in 1898. Since then, Goodyear and the legendary Winged Foot™ logo have been synonymous with victory, dominating the winner’s circle across the entire spectrum of motorsports. Goodyear tyres have shouldered heavy-duty work on everything from airplanes to Zambonis. They’ve rolled on the moon and have helped steer millions of motorists along their journeys.
Now, 120 years after Goodyear's original offering, we welcome a new line of performance bicycle tyres. Developed with Rubber Kinetics, the Goodyear line utilizes refined compounds and casings, each purpose-built for their intended environments.
